The life and times of our family… |
Yesterday, Hadassah started “crawling”!
Tonight Hadassah rolled from her back to her tummy for the first time!
This afternoon Hadassah rolled from her tummy onto her back for the first time! She surprised herself and her Mommy and Daddy! We’re very proud of her accomplishment.
On February 25th Hannah, Noah, Micah and Rachel participated in the Night of the Arts which is put on each year by the homeschool group that we belong to called C.A.P.E.
Night of the Arts is like a great big talent show where the kids demonstrate the talents that God has blessed them with. There are songs, instruments, dancing, poem recitations, as well as visual art like drawings, paintings, models, etc. Each year it is such a blessing to see how the kids are growing and putting their talents to good use! This year was no exception. Below are links to the videos of the Brown Kids during their Night of the Arts performances. Enjoy!!
Hannah sings “Be Born in Me”
Micah plays “Oh How I Love Jesus” and “Deep and Wide”
Hannah and friends sing “God Girl”
Rachel plays “Winnie the Pooh”
Noah, Micah and Rachel perform “Judges”
Noah plays “March”
It has taken a while, but she is finally content to be on her play mat for more than a few seconds!!
I can’t believe that another year has gone by! Time is moving way too fast. This year Hannah turned 11, Noah turned 9, Micah turned 7, Rachel turned 5 and Hadassah is already 2 months old!!!
Next year will mark 15 years of marriage to the most amazing woman in the world. I thank God daily for Heidi and the blessing that she is to our family.
From our family to yours … Happy New Year! May The Lord richly bless you throughout the coming year.
Greetings family and friends!
We are very excited to welcome Hadassah Renee Brown into our family! Hadassah was born on October 27, 2013 at 8:14pm. She weighed 7lbs 2.3oz and is 20 inches long. We apologize to those that did not get the initial text message that Randy sent out on Sunday evening. Mommy and baby are doing well and Hannah, Noah, Micah and Rachel could not be more happy/excited/elated/overjoyed!!!!
A little information (because many are asking) about the name…
Hadassah \ha-dassah, had(as)-sah\ as a girl’s name is pronounced ha-DAHS-sah. It is of Hebrew origin, and the meaning of Hadassah is “myrtle tree”. Biblical: the Persian Queen Esther’s Hebrew name. (We tend to pronounce it ha-DA-sah….either way is fine with us!!)

Here are a few pictures. More to come on our website in the coming days/weeks.
Love,
Randy and Heidi
I am 38 weeks pregnant and the baby is doing well. However, at a recent appointment it was determined through testing that the baby is measuring small. Due to this fact and my age, it has been decided that if I do not go into labor by 39 weeks I will be induced. I had an appointment today and was scheduled for some monitoring at the hospital this Sunday and an induction next Wednesday. We should have our newest addition no later than next Wednesday, October 30th.
We would appreciate your prayers for a healthy baby and an uneventful labor and delivery. 🙂
We look forward to sharing our good news within the week!
